An omnibus survey is one of the more popular ways to get a few research nuggets to move your story along. Many omnibus products just take your questions and field them – offering no input on design and no analysis. Not us.
We work with you on the questions, often starting with your dream headlines and working from there. Now we can’t guarantee the data will come out that way, but at least we know we are asking the right questions!
On the back-end we provide you with not only the data, but also what the data mean and what key sub-groups think. We also provide you with draft headlines based on the data as well as analysis – looking at each question as well as what the overall story is.
An omnibus is a survey in which various clients share in the overall costs of conducting the survey and the demographics. But each client only gets the results from their questions as well as the demographics. There is no minimum number of questions needed! If you just need to ask only one question, we can do that for you.
In terms of sample size, you can have responses from either 1,000 or 2,000 U.S. adults, 18 and older. Both sizes are perfectly acceptable from a media standpoint, but we would recommend the larger sample size if you are interested in looking at certain sub-groups or at a group that is a lower incidence among the population as a whole. This allows for more pitching and communications angles with the media. In fact, we can offer you omnibus surveys from up to 5,000 respondents – perfect when you have just a few questions for a harder to reach audience.

If we finalize your questions by end of day on Monday, we would field them the next day. Data would be in hand to you by Friday morning, and your analysis and headlines by end of day Monday or Tuesday depending on the total number of questions.
